What’s the story?

The idea for BRICK kicked off in art college when I wasn’t really arsed anymore. As a bit of a joke (and maybe a quiet protest), I nicked a breeze block from a building site, painted “BRICK” on it in block letters, and called it art. Thought it was daft, kind of cool, and definitely taking the piss, but the professors were into it.

That’s pretty much the story. I left art college, got the brick tattooed on my arm, and it stuck around as this weird little icon of freedom, humour, and not giving a shite, but it also became this reminder that creating doesn’t have to be deep or polished to mean something. It’s about having the freedom to create, whatever you want and however you want.

Well sure, now it’s a brand. Based in Dublin, rooted in messing around and the freedom to do things my own way.
